Events & Fundraising

The main responsibility of Woodstock Neighborhood Association’s Events & Fundraising Committee is the planning and execution of annual neighborhood events. WNA Vice Chair Elisa Edgington plays a major role in heading up event planning efforts, as well as the coordination of smaller events such as WNA’s monthly tabling presence at the Woodstock Farmers Market.

Below is a list of events we expect to be involved in this year, with dates if known, along with other details. We often hear of ideas for additional events, as well as great events that Woodstock Neighborhood used to be involved with in the past. The only thing WNA needs to be able to sponsor more activities is — you guessed it — more volunteers! Your involvement is welcome. Please contact us at if you are interested in helping out.

Plant Sale • May 9 — annual benefit for the Friends of the Woodstock Community Center, held the day before Mother’s Day, organized by the members of that committee.

Woodstock Cleanup • May? — a neighborhood effort to spruce up the commercial areas along Woodstock Blvd. and 52nd Ave., spearheaded by the Stakeholders Group (commercial property owners)

Movie in the Park • Date TBD — a collaboration with Portland Parks & Recreation, this free outdoor summer film event in Woodstock Park is always a big hit with families.

Woodstock Halloween • October 31 — business district trick-or-treating in coordination with Woodstock Farmers Market and free family-friendly party at the Woodstock Community Center.

Woodstock Winter Wonderland • early December — a community tree-lighting event organized in collaboration with The Homestead Schoolhouse on Woodstock and other members of the Woodstock Community Business Association; includes pictures with Santa at Papaccino’s beforehand and the presence of Portland Firefighters at the tree-lighting.
